Our story
Rooted in ancestry. Offered with care.
Ancestra takes its name from the ancestors — the generations of healers who learned, tested and passed down what the earth provides. We exist to carry that knowledge forward, faithfully and safely, for the modern body.

The healer
More than three decades of learning at the feet of elders.
Our founding healer grew up among herbalists, learning to recognise plants by their leaves, bark and scent long before learning their names in books. Over thirty-five years that apprenticeship has spanned the highlands, the rainforest belt and the coastal plains.
Today that knowledge is paired with careful record-keeping and modern hygiene, so every remedy that leaves the apothecary is one we would give to our own family.
How we work
A consultation, a protocol, and a hand to hold along the way.
- 01
We listen
Every journey begins with a private consultation. We take time to understand your history, your body and what you hope to change — not just the symptom in front of us.
- 02
We compose
From that intake our healer composes a protocol: a considered blend of botanicals chosen for how they strengthen one another, with clear guidance on preparation and dosage.
- 03
We walk with you
Healing is rarely a single step. We check in, adjust your protocol as your body responds, and remain a message away throughout.
What we stand for
Wild-harvested
Roots, leaves and barks gathered from the regions where they grow strongest, with respect for the land and the communities who tend it.
Prepared by hand
Small batches made with slow, traditional methods — decoction, infusion and fermentation — so nothing is rushed and nothing is wasted.
Clean and careful
Hygienic preparation, honest labelling and clear instructions. If a remedy is not right for you, we will tell you.
Open to all
Through free-will donations we offer consultations and remedies to people who could not otherwise afford them.
Working alongside your doctor. Botanical medicine can be powerful, and it can interact with prescribed medication. Our consultations complement — never replace — professional medical care. Please keep your doctor informed, and never stop a prescribed treatment without their advice.
