These terms apply when you use ancestraapothecary.com, request a consultation, place an order request or pledge a donation with Ancestra Apothecary. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Health information is not medical advice

The content on this site is shared for general information about traditional botanical medicine. It has not been evaluated by medical regulators and is not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment by a qualified health professional. Do not stop or change prescribed treatment without your doctor’s advice, and tell your doctor about any herbal remedies you take — some can interact with medication, pregnancy or existing conditions.

In an emergency, contact your local emergency services or go to the nearest hospital. Our consultation and messaging services are not designed for urgent care.

Consultations

Submitting a consultation request does not create a booking until we confirm a time with you by email. Please give accurate and complete information about your health so we can advise you safely. We may decline to provide a remedy where we believe it may not be safe for you.

Orders

• An order placed through the site is a request. A contract is formed only when we confirm your order, its price and delivery by email.
• Prices are shown in US dollars and may change before we confirm. Delivery costs, duties and taxes, where they apply, will be confirmed with you before you pay.
• We may decline or cancel an order, for example if a product is unavailable or cannot be shipped to your country. If you have already paid, we will refund you in full.
• Follow the preparation, dosage and storage instructions supplied with each remedy, and keep remedies out of reach of children.

Returns

For reasons of hygiene and safety we cannot accept returns of opened remedies. If your order arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, email hello@ancestraapothecary.com within 14 days of delivery with your order reference and we will replace it or refund you.

Free-will donations

Donations are entirely voluntary and do not purchase goods or services. A pledge made on the site is not a payment; we will email you the details to complete your gift and you remain free to change your mind. If you make a donation by mistake, contact us within 14 days and we will do our best to return it.

Using the site

Please do not misuse the site — for example by submitting false information, attempting to access areas you are not authorised to use, interfering with its security or operation, or using our forms to send unwanted messages to others.

Our content

The Ancestra name, logo, text, photographs and design on this site belong to Ancestra Apothecary or our licensors. You may view and share pages for personal, non-commercial use, but you may not copy or reuse our content commercially without our written permission.

Liability

We take care to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it “as is” and cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

How we handle your personal information is explained in our privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria will have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections in the country where you live.
